Advertising: The Webmaster may accept advertising from agencies, consultants, or others directly involved with various aspects of the Yerington Anaconda Mine. The acceptance of such advertisements or the inclusion of advertisements herein does not in any manner constitute a recommendation for the advertiser. Nor does the inclusion or exclusion of advertising of an agency or others indicate that the Webmaster agrees or disagrees with the policies and positions of the potential advertiser with respect to the issues of the Yerington Anaconda Mine.

Guiding Principles: It is the opinion of the Webmaster that pertinent information regarding the Yerington site has not been readily or conveniently accessible to the general public or to those who have a specific technical or political interest in the subject matter. As a result, it is believed that many misconceptions have occurred. Such misconceptions, as well as personal apprehensions, have led to misinformation and rumors.

While the Webmaster admits some bias as to the environmental and health issues involving the website, the Webmaster commits himself to providing those concerned with factual and honest information, pro or con, regarding the mine site. Objectively speaking, the Webmaster will make every attempt to keep his opinions to the Opinion page of this website and he will allow contrary opinions to be published therein. We welcome all contributions, but we reserve the right to verify content.

It is intended that this site should become an open-access source for current information regarding the YAM. It is believed that the absence of open communication and information is not in the public interest or the proper and complete administration of the mine site.

Significant health, safety and environmental concerns are associated with any mining operation. Nevertheless, the Webmaster understands and accepts that the mining and extraction of various metals and chemicals from raw ore is essential to the national economy. The Webmaster actively supports responsible mining operations that operate in consistence with environmental, health and safety concerns.
